Your technology changes. Your language infrastructure shouldn’t break.

The content systems, AI models, and service partners your business depends on today will look different in five years. Phrase is the central infrastructure that holds it all together, connecting your existing technology investments with Phrase-native and ecosystem-built solutions in a single, orchestrated environment.

We continuously expand our own capabilities while enabling partners and customers to build on top of our infrastructure. The result: more capability, more choice, and more value for everyone in the ecosystem.

A network that grows with every connection

Every partner that builds on Phrase makes the platform more valuable for every customer. Every customer that grows with Phrase attracts more partners. This is the flywheel effect – and it’s how the ecosystem gets stronger over time.

We integrate openly, even where our capabilities overlap with a partner’s, because customer value is the priority. That openness is what makes the ecosystem work.

What file formats does Phrase support?

Phrase supports 50+ file formats including JSON, YAML, XML, .strings, .xliff, .po, .arb, and Android XML. Phrase Strings is format-agnostic: upload in one format and export in another, so you’re never locked into a single structure.

Can I bring my own machine translation engine?

Yes. Phrase supports Bring Your Own Engine (BYOE), letting you integrate a custom MT engine directly into Phrase workflows. Your engine can leverage Phrase’s translation memories, termbases, and style guides as context to improve output quality. You can also use Phrase Analytics to benchmark your engine’s performance against Phrase’s native MT engines.

One platform. Every use case.

A family of interconnected capabilities, not isolated tools. Each one built to handle multiple use cases. All of them running on the same intelligence layer and the same platform foundations.

Phrase TMS: Continuous localization

Manage translation at enterprise scale, across multiple vendors, stakeholders, and content types. Connectors for every major CMS, repository, and design tool mean content arrives automatically. The orchestrator handles routing, quality gates, and handoffs so your team focuses on decisions, not coordination.

Phrase Strings: Multilingual software delivery

String management built for continuous product development. Phrase Strings keeps product copy and translations aligned as teams iterate, so localization isn’t a separate end-of-cycle task. Integrates with your CI/CD pipeline and design tools so translations ship when code ships. Localization without the release overhead

Phrase Studio: Audio and video localization

Upload any recording and Phrase Studio instantly generates high-accuracy transcripts, subtitles, and natural-sounding voiceovers in over 100 languages. It also identifies key themes and generates summaries, turning spoken content into something your whole team can search and use.

Phrase Portal: AI translation for every team

Provide AI translation to every employee across your organisation with an intuitive portal. Every translation uses your glossaries, memories, and brand standards automatically. Enterprise-grade security, cost controls, and human review on demand keep it reliable at scale.
